With the first rehearsal behind her, Cypriot singer Evridiki was one of the first to admit she wasn’t happy with how things had gone.
The EBU official site mentions that the singer was satisfied with how things are being organised in Helsinki. The first few days are taken up with so-called technical rehearsals when the performers get a chance to work with the cameras and lighting and see what, if anything needs to change.
During the technical rehearsals, all delegations get time with the producers to watch back the rehearsals and ask for any changes to the camera work if they feel it is not working for them. Evridiki told TV reporters last night that she was particularly concerned about the microphones for the backing singers, which caused problems during the first run throughs.
There are also plans to ask YLE to try out different backgrounds and lighting effects when the team next takes to the stage on Saturday morning.
